There’s a network of rustic and remote cabins throughout the Park. Most are old mining, trapping or hunting cabins that have been restored and kept up by the National Park Service. They’re equipped with bunks and a woodstove and accessible only by air. This week we flew two small groups who were eager to walk on the wild side (but only for a night) to cabins in the Chitistone Valley and on the Hawkins Glacier. These cabins are in the heart of the wilderness and accessible only by air, great for hiking and fishing and to get away from it ALL, even the civilization of Ultima Thule.
